We will curate a customized herbal formula based on your goals, ailments, diet, exercise, stress levels, & lifestyle.

Registered Acupuncture

Working to guide our bodies in the right direction, Acupuncture stimulates the nervous system to restore balance in the body & mind, & to promote our innate healing abilities. Before there were needles, there were notebooks in Matt’s life. Matthew spent two decades as a high school history teacher, sparking curiosity about everything from ancient dynasties to the roots of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It was during one of these history lessons—while teaching his students about acupuncture in imperial China—that a lightbulb switched on. Fast forward a few years, and he swapped his chalkboard for a treatment table.

A practitioner of both acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine herbal therapies, Matthew brings a grounded, compassionate, and no-pressure approach to care. His style? Calm, attentive, and totally approachable—perfect for both the needle-curious and seasoned acupuncture lovers alike.

Matthew treats a wide range of health concerns, with a special interest in treating chronic pain, addiction, and mental health challenges, including supporting anyone with stress, anxiety, or those who are overwhelmed. He incorporates a variety of modalities into his treatments, including Chinese herbal medicine, moxibustion, cupping, ear acupuncture, and dietary + lifestyle guidance rooted in Eastern Medicine. Whether you’re managing something complex or just looking to feel more like yourself again, Matthew’s goal is always the same: to meet you where you’re at—and help you get where you want to be.

When he’s not in the clinic, you can find him cooking elaborate meals with his wife (also an acupuncturist!), going for long walks or nerding out over music—from Patsy Cline to Public Enemy.

He lives by the belief that we all do better when we all do better—and we couldn’t agree more.
